πŸ€” ✏️!Maths - ALGEBRA! ✏️πŸ€”

πŸ€” ✏️!Maths - ALGEBRA! ✏️πŸ€”
WALT: Use our multiplicative thinking to solve the unknown value.

Bonjour and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

It has been a while( well ever since last week) I have blogged. But now I am back and excited to blog even more. As you can see the title I will be blogging about MATHS! If you do not know but I REALLY REALLY... LOVE Maths! This term( term 2) we have been learning about Algebra. Algebra is part of mathematics, where you use letters and different symbols to find the value.

Here is an example:

4b +  2 = 18

4b= 4 x 4

16 + 2 = 18

The method for this is that when you have a letter and number put together like this 4b it is asking you to find out the value. The value of the b = 4. How? Well it is because I figured out that 4x4=16
then 16+2= 18. So a tip here is that when you have a letter and number putted together the best way to find the value is looking at the equation and to see what is a number that adds, multiply etc equals to the answer.

I have enjoyed learning algebra and even though I have missed out in some lessons, I was able to catch up to my class mates. I am excited to our next topic!

I hope you enojy this blog!

IALT: Understand the difference between Public and Private information.

Talofa Lava and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

Yesterday Ms collins came into Room 9 for Cybersmart.I was new to this  Cybersmart session so I had to put my thinking cap on and conecentrate at all times. So Mrs Collins explained to us all about leaving digital footprint. Whatever you do online you are leaving a digital footprint( which I am doing right now), it can be postive or negative. We were given a task which it had to do with Private Information/Personal Information. This task would help us understand the diffrences of public and private information and being aware of the things that we are posting.

Personal Information/Private Information

As you can see here I have arranged different information into these 2 grids. I know that this would help me understand what types of things that is safe for me to publish online and things that I should keep to myself.

Make sure to THINK before you PUBLISH!

IALA: What kindess is?

Bonjour and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

Today for the first block we had cybersmart with Ms Collins. This was Rm 10's first session with Ms Collins so I was looking foward to it. As you might know last week on friday was Pink Shirt Day or Kindess Day. Our task was to come up with images and texts that means kindness and what kindness means to you.
To me kindness is all about being friendly to one another. Everyone has kindness in themselves, but they just haven’t seen it. Doing something that is so small for someone can make a huge difference.

I hope you enjoy!

πŸ€”Manaikalani Learner QuestionπŸ€”
IALT: Reflect about the Manaikalani Survey.

Malo e lelei and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

Today the student leaders had to take a survey. In this survey it had questions relating to how we use our digital deivice for our learning. This survey would be shared to the maniakalani, so that they can see the progress of how we use our digital devices for our learning.
The question that we had in our survey, I found them really intresting like for exmaple one of the questions that I had to really think about was how Learn, Create, Share connects with our culture. But the rest of them I found them quite simple.

Malo e lelei and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

Today was a very exciting day for the student leaders of our school. We had the opprtunity to attend to the National Young Leaders Day. This was going to be our very FIRST time going to this event so we where looking foward to it. Ms Aireen and kelly joined along( since we had to be supervised by an adult) as well.

As like in any other confrence there are guest speakers. In this event there where Dr Lehan Stemmet, Hana Tapiata, Ronnie Taulafo, Christian Gallen and Kings. The way of how they explained about there back story and how it effect there life and now where they are is so inspiring. The challeneges that they'eve been through they where able to overcome it with conversation. What I mean by this is( which ronnie made a great point), having a conversation with others can really help discover of who you are and it really depends on what type of conversations you have. You see the conversations that you would have will influence you to become who you are.

One speaker that I could relate to was Hana Tapiata. She was explaing that we all have voices in our heads. And I was like yuupp I got TOOONNESS of them. But one thing that she said that really touched me was kind of like this, " The voice that you chose to listen, is the voice that will impact your life". This really gave me a second thought of what voice I have chosen to listen. Have you ever had like a NEGATIVITY voice and a POSITIVE voice? Well, if you have which one do you chose to listen to? I always tried my best to listen to that positive voice but then that Negative voice can just some how overtake, and which have caused me to think alot of bad things about myself. But after listening to Hanas amazing speech( and also the others) just gave me that motivation that I should believe more in MYSELF and listen to those postive thoughts.

Overal, l I have really enjoyed myself and I feel motivated and inspired from the words that these guest speakers have explained. Now my spirit is lifted up never before. I never knew how words can change your life!
I would also like to give a shout out and a HUGE THANK YOU to the NYLD Team for organizing this and it has been a great opportunity getting to listen to these AMAZING LEADERS!!

I hope you enjoy this blogpost!
