😞No Technology Today!😞

Hello Everyone( sorry I ran out of greetings)! Welcome back to my blog! I was disappointed to hear the bad news! What bad news? Well, the bad news is that we don't have technology!( NOOOOOOOOOO!) I was looking forward to go because I missed the one last term( since we had to get ready for Ako evening) and now today! Hopefully we will be going to technology next week! I am not 100% sure what happen but at least we still have some more learning to continue on with.

I really enjoy going to technology because we get to be creative with our ideas and even better you get to make it!

Sometimes I do find technology challenging because there are different types of tools that you use to make your things, and sometimes it gets complicated to use.

✖️Maths Reflection!✖️

IALT: Write about Maths!

Talofa Lava and welcome back to my blog! This afternoon we have been doing maths. Instead of getting sheets to answer we used games to practice our basic facts.  This term we will be focusing on Percentages,Fractions and basically our Basic Facts.



I was extremely excited that it was finally maths, because I love it so much plus it is my favourite subject at school.  We each got a game that Ms Komor selected.  Most of the games were based on Fractions, Multiplication and Place Values.  In my group we had a deck of cards.  We used the cards to practice our Multiplication.  We divided the cards between us. To play this game, we decided take turns with a pair.  So since there were 4 us( Edith, Leilani, Akanesi and Me) we chose 2 to go first then the other 2 goes after.  All of our cards were faced down so that we couldn't see it.  I was partnered up with Leilani.  We both flipped our cards and we shouted with excitements.  We were a tie so we left it there. Then it was Edith and Nesi's turn.  Then we continued on playing!

I won the game since I had everyone's card and I beated them.  Overall I enjoyed playing with them and I had so much fun!! Even though I won I was still proud of Akanesi, Leilani and Edith because they never gave up and they still kept on going and which I would like to congrats them for having a growth mindset!



To be honest I didn't found anything challenging because I knew all of Times Table since I have been practicing them a lot.  My next step would have be accurate when I am answering because I am always about speed when I answer but I should think before answering instead of rushing to it.

My First Blog Reflection For Term 3 2018

Malo Lelei and greetings to you all! Welcome back to my blog! As you can see this is my first blog reflection for this term(3).

2 interesting things I did in the holidays was going to the Matariki trail( at G.I.) and spending quality time with my family!

It was finally Saturday and I was so EXCITED!!(Why? )Well it is because we were going to... THE MATARIKI LIGHT TRAIL!! If you are wondering what the Matariki light trail is, it is basically an area that is all lighted up in the evening! You take a walk around it and you go through all these beautiful images that represent Matriki are all lighted up

(as I said in the beginning)

We were just getting ready and we all burst into excitements! It wasn't a long drive since it was just down at G.I. It wasn't hard to spot the trail since you could already see it. We invited Kensington and his family to come with us! We went around the whole trail and taking pictures at the same time.  We finally ended the trail and it was time for the BIG FINISH! This was it! This was what I was excited for! The crowd counted down from 10: 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2...

BOOM! BOOM!

Fireworks were going everywhere! Loud noises and a colourful explosion! It was very loud that I nearly had a heart attack( luckily I didn't) and my ears were hurting from all the screaming! At the end I had the most enjoyable day with my family!

One thing I really enjoyed with my family was when the lights were out and there was no power! We gather around each other and we told scary stories and telling jokes! Even though the power was cut we still carried on and that was a moment that I will remember and cherish for the rest of my life!

I am looking forward to study about Natural disasters for this term! I know it might sound boring but to me I am actually looking forward to it. The reason why I am is because, I like to learn new things and also discover more about the Earth and how it works!

I would like to improve on having a Growth Mindset for this term.  I have realised that I have not been using a growth mindset last term and that affected my learning! Now I realised the more I have a growth mindset and the more my learning will be great and the more I will identify how much knowledge I have.

Bula Vinaka everyone and welcome back to my blog! I know I haven't been blogging that much which I am really sorry about. But since it is holidays I have decided to read books and catch up on some of my learning on paper.  What I mean by that is reading different types of books( which I have finished 2 reading, Black Beauty and Tom Gates Top of the class( maybe) ) and also I have written all of my time tables up to 15 from 1( which I have been practicing) and also been practising my basic facts and just improving more things that I need to.  But I decided to come back on and start blogging and catch up to others.

😁100 BLOGPOST THIS YEAR😁!!

Hola fellow readers! Welcome back to my blog! Right now I am so shocked! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I MADE 100 blog posts for this year!! This is such a big achievement for me! I have been waiting this moment to happen so I can blog it and now I am here! I am extremely PROUD of myself! I have been really hard on myself throughout this year and after this HUGE achievement I regret doing that to myself! I now learn a lesson to NEVER EVER put myself down because I realised that the more I believe in myself and having a growth mindset I get to have such a huge success!

I would like to make a HUGE shout out to my friends( Edith, Lydia, Hevani, Stephney, Arizona) who are always there for me and have supported me throughout my life!

Today I have decided to blog about my visual art! Last week we have been learning about visual arts! To be honest I didn't really like art because it takes a long time to complete the colouring. If we were to do this activity again I would like to use painting instead of colouring by hand because it is very tiring and with paint it is very easy and faster.

I really enjoy doing this artwork because I get to put my thoughts in my artwork and I love to share my work to others! What I like about art is you can express your feelings into the artwork.  An artwork always mean something and I hope that you understand mines!

I drew a picture/symbol that represents my learning of space and also something that represents myself.  The key concepts I learned was using my time wisely.This is because the more time you waste the more you would have to rush your work and it is not up to your standard. A challenge I had was what to draw? I was struggling to figure out what to draw that relates to our inquiry topic.  It was challenging at first but then when it came to do our published one I felt confident and proud of what I created. If I did this project again I would like to add a bit more colour to it especially bright ones. I think the colour scheme worked well because it blended in with the 2 choices that I chose and it describes me.  Things that went well with my drawing were the symbols and the patterns I choose to do because they both relate to the topic and they describe who I am.
