WALT: Use the S.L.A.M structure to create a poem.

Hola and greetings to you all and welcome back to my blog! As you can tell( by reading the titile), this term we have been focusing about Poetic Writing. We each choose a natural disaster to write about. In my opion, I think that Poetic writing is where you have a lot of descriptive words/languages and that there is always a meaning to why they have wirtten it.  In the Kia Manawanui syndicate we have used the S.L.A.M. structure to write our poems. 
S- Structure, L- Languages, A-Affect, M- Message. Now this is new to me so I was bit confused at first. But now that I am getting use to it, I am kind-of confident doing this.  To be honest I don't like writing but after doing this Poetic writing I'm starting to like it. I have started my poem but it is not finished so I better get a move on and stay focused. I have really enjoyed doing this!

Fun Fact: Did you know that in Poetic writing, instead of calling it a paragraph, it is called stanza!

Museum Trip

IALT: Reflect about our Museum trip!

Kia ora and greetings to you all! Welcome back to my blog! I was really excited for today! Why? Well it is because we are going to the museum! This is not my first time going, but this would be my second. When we got there our instructors, Angelique and Wendy took us to a room. We got to experience different types of technologies, such as: Green screen, Robots, Stop motion, VR( Virtual Reality), Tinkercad and Paint 3d. We got split into groups so it could be fair, so that each one gets a turn.







My favourite one would have to be the Paint 3d.  I rather prefer using the Paint 3d because it is easy to use and it is similar to how you are drawing on paper. What was even cool about was that instead of using a mouse you use a pen! This might not be cool to you's but to me it was because this was my first time using a technology like this. After we explored all the tools we swamped with the other group that went to the Volcano Exhibit and now it there turn.

There were two guys called Tom and Aaron. They were our instructors who are going to lead us to the Volcano exhibit. Not only that but we knew Tom and Aaron, so it will be more fun! I was full of excitements and I just couldn't wait! During our walk to the exhibit we got to see other things like etc Old Antiques, Dinosaurs, Bugs and more. We got to choose a buddy and we both had to work on a worksheet while we were there.  As you might guessed who I buddied with, yes it was Edith.  Before we even do the study and all that, Tom and Aaron decided we should do something fun! So we waited patiently outside the Volcano House.  Once it was clear, we all got inside.  It was so clean and nice and comfortable. The news was on, then all of a sudden it turned off. The lights were glitching, and things were starting to shake.  I was a bit frightened but for some reason I was disappointed.  In fact, I thought the shaking was going to be BIG, instead it was a little one.  I didn't really enjoyed it but I didn't want that stopping my day! We got out and we were to do our worksheets.  We had to fill out questions with our buddies. I felt like I was a volcanologist ready to study! It was a bit challenging answering so MANY questions.  What I enjoyed in this session would have to be, when we got to make our own music playing these two rocks( sorry I forgot what they are called), it was really cool because I never knew that rocks could make any sounds like that!

After that, we head back and got ready for lunchtime.  We finished our break and we got back to the room.  In this last session we had to think about what Natural Diasater you want to explain by using one or two of the tecnologies.  You could either choose to work in a pair or a three.  In my group it was Edith and Lydia. We did some planning of what we should do.  We decided to do volcanoes since we learned so much of it with Tom and Aaron.  To share our learning we have chosen to use 3d Paint and the VR to present drawings that was related to our topic and then set it on the Green screen, and explain how people are affected by this type of natural diasater and how it occurs.



I have really enjoyed my time at the museum and had so much fun with my classmates!

TECHNOLOGY TODAY!

Hola and greetings to you all! Welcome back to my blog! Today to start of our day, at school we are going to technology! I was so excited because we haven't gone to technology for that long, plus I get to start on sand papering my pendant( it's like a necklace).  By the way we have technology at Tamaki College( which is not that far from here, at Tamaki Primary School). I am going to try my best to have a growth mindset at tech because most of the times of I give up easily and that is not good. I am also going to work on finishing of my work book because I really( I actually do REALLY) have to finish it of so I can get some good marks.

I am really happy and I can't wait!

Back to school tomorrow!

Namaste everyone! Welcome back to my blog! I am very excited that it is going to be school tomorrow because we get to learn new things and I get to see my friends! Coming back to school we would have to finish of works, having activities to do and getting along with others! That might sound boring and tiring but I am use to doing things like that(especially as a student leader). I am looking forward to tomorrow and I can't wait!

👍Leadership task!👍

Malo lelei and greetings to you all! Welcome back to my blog! This afternoon the student council leaders had a leadership session with Miss Aireen.  I was a bit down since we got to miss out P. E. and Music( which I was really looking forward to).  But after doing the session I actually enjoy it and it helped me build up more of my leadership skills( which was very HELPFUL).

For our lesson we have been talked Integrity.  To be honest with you guys I had no idea what Integrity mean. So I guess I better be attention so I understand what integrity mean and how to show integrity. We started of brain storming of our ideas of what we think/know about Integrity.  There was a lot of them even though there was a small group.



After that we watched this video to get more understanding on integrity.
The 3 tips were:

1. Tell the Truth all the time!
2. Listen to your conscience.
3. Be a person who begins and finishes well.

Those were the 3 main steps of how to develop integrity. I kind of started to understand about integrity.  We had to completed the tasks on the sheet that was given for example there will be a scenario. Now we have to think about how would we solve this problem with integrity if you were there. I did had some struggles but I still tried my best!

After we reflect, we discuss it amongst the group of our decisions of what we think we should do. We continued on finishing the task and working collaboratively with our peers. I really enjoy doing this task because we had laughters but not only that I have more understanding of integrity and that I have more better understanding to be a leader. I also found some challenges like for example answering the questions and sitting for so long!

But this has really helped me and I can't wait until it is our next session!

I'm Back!

Bonjour and greetings to you all! Welcome back to my blog!

I know I haven't been blogging( which I am really sorry) since in awhile. Well I don't actually have a good reason for this time. Well, the reason why I haven't been blogging is that I have been slacking with my bloggings. I do try my best to at least blog something but I get so distracted easily, that I lose my focus on learning. Now that I am back, I will make it up to you's by blogging at least 2-4 each day. I am not going to try blog at least 2-4, I WILL! This is a promise and I will start blogging so I can share my learning, after all that is what blogging is for.

WHANAU CONFERENCE TODAY!

IALT: Reflect about what is happening today( which is whanau conference).

Malo Lelei and greetings to you all! As you might know, that today is Whanau Conference! I know what you guys are wondering about, What is Whanau Conference? Well those who don't know that's okay because I will be explaining what whanau conference is.  Now, whanau conference is a time that you come with your family( including you) and have a talk with your teacher.  This talk will be based on your learning and what next steps for you to improve on in your learning.  

I know it might seem a bit scaring having a one talk with your teacher but it's actually not that scary at all.  I have experience them a lot of times and when you get use it it's actually good for yourself and your family.  You see your family will know where you at with your learning and plus they can help you out at home for the things that you are still working on.  And that is why I think that it is great having whanau conference in schools.

Right now I am just waiting for my turn and I am a bit nervous but I do hope that all the good work/ learning that I have done has really putten into worth.

IALT: Inform my readers that there is no technology tomorrow.

Talofa lava and greetings to you all! I am very disappointed because we won't be having technology tomorrow! I was looking forward to be going to tech, since last week we didn't( I think), and now TODAY!!( NOOOO WHYYYY!!!) I was hoping that we could go this week since I have a lot of things to catch up on, like for example I still have to complete my workbook, finishing of cutting my pendants and other things.

Well it is what it is, if there is no technology that means there is NO TECHNOLOGY! Fingers cross, we will be having tech next week!
