Cooking- Mince Gravy with Rice

Cooking- Mince Gravy with Rice
IALHT: Cook Mince gravy with rice.

Kia Orana and greetings to you all, welcome to my blog!
Today is thursday which means we have Technology. This week my buddy, Hevani and I will be cooking Mince Gravy and rice. I am familiar with this dish so I wasn't that surprised.

Here are the instructions of making your own Mince Gravy and rice:

Step 1- Dice the onion and fry until it is soft.

Step 2- Add mixed vegetables and cook until it is soft.

Step 3-  Add the mince and fry until it is cooked.

Step 4- Add tomato soup and mix well.

Step 5- Serve into plate and enjoy!

Overall, I think me and Hevani did a great job making sure that our mince was well-cooked instead of being dry. It tasted so delicious and it just take my back to memories of family times dinner at home. I don't think we needed to change anything on our dish it tasted just right!

IALT: Reflect about what we have made in cooking.

Kia Ora and greetings to you all, welcome to my blog! For todays blog you can obviously see that I would be talking about what I have been doing at Technology. As you might already know, every Thursdays we have technology at Tamaki College. I was very excited to hear that we we will be swamping classes to ... Cooking!

My buddy, Hevani and I have cooked a Tuna Salad.
Here are the recipies:

1) Boil a pasta with 2 1/2 cup of cold water until it is soft.

- Drain under cold water using the colander

2) Dice, onion, red pepper, tomatoes

3) Mix all with mayonnaise

4) Serve on white plate, photo.

I really enjoyed getting to work with Hevani and making this delicious meal! One thing I would change from this dish is adding less onions because all I could taste was the onions and the pasta and plus the more onions I ate I felt like vomiting!

For todays blog I will be blogging about Cybersmart. Mrs Collins came in and gave us another task. For this task we were instructed to come up with POSITIVE sentence starters to use in a Quality Comment.

This is how we would create our comments:

- Begin you comment with a Cultral Greeting

- If you are a year 7, you are required to come up with 7 sentence starters.
- If you are a year 8, you are reuqired to come up with 8 sentence starters.
- End your comment with a cultural farewell.

IALT: Reflect about my creation.

Hello there readers and welcome to my blog! Every thursdays we are at Tamaki College for Technology. As you can see above I am in the Hard Materials Class. Before we could start into building our objects, we had to draft out 8 transports that was accurate to build. I have chosen to make a  ship for my brother. This is the best choice because I think that this ship is suitable for my brother since he loves playing with his toys and I think he is responsible enough to take care of his toys, afterall he calls himself a " Big Boy". The ship will be used as a toy for my brother to entertain himself and to add to his toy collection. For this project I will have to consider following the instructions that was assigned from Mr Grundy and to focus and concentrate at all times since we have only 8 or 9( not sure) weeks to create our Woodwork.

WALT: Track and trace our digital footprint.

Malo e lelei and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

As you can read the title, I will be sharing you all my digital footprint map. This is one of our task that was instructed from Ms collins to do. If you are wondering what is a digital footpirnt map? Well, a DFM( digital footpirnt map) is a map that has all the information that you have been on your chromebook. You can get this information from your history and from there that is how you can create your own map, it is that simple! Also this is taken in 24 Hour.

One thing I enjoyed about doing this task is creating my map. I tried my best to make it stand out and eye catching so its not boring to look at.

Here is my map:

Just to let you know the footprints represent how much times Iv'e been on that websites and also within this task we had to hyperlink the site that we where on, onto the icons.

Halo and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

For todays blog I will be blogging about what we have been doing for reading. This weeks reading task was to look at the diffrences of how the past is to now! There have be many changes from the past to now but what about the future?

For this task we had to write a letter to the future. I had so many things in my head what to write in my letter. As for my adult self, I will revisit this blog and read the letter myself. Who knows what the future will turn out to be, but one thing I know is that you make the choice of how you want your future to be.

๐Ÿค” ✏️!Maths - ALGEBRA! ✏️๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿค” ✏️!Maths - ALGEBRA! ✏️๐Ÿค”
WALT: Use our multiplicative thinking to solve the unknown value.

Bonjour and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

It has been a while( well ever since last week) I have blogged. But now I am back and excited to blog even more. As you can see the title I will be blogging about MATHS! If you do not know but I REALLY REALLY... LOVE Maths! This term( term 2) we have been learning about Algebra. Algebra is part of mathematics, where you use letters and different symbols to find the value.

Here is an example:

4b +  2 = 18

4b= 4 x 4

16 + 2 = 18

The method for this is that when you have a letter and number put together like this 4b it is asking you to find out the value. The value of the b = 4. How? Well it is because I figured out that 4x4=16
then 16+2= 18. So a tip here is that when you have a letter and number putted together the best way to find the value is looking at the equation and to see what is a number that adds, multiply etc equals to the answer.

I have enjoyed learning algebra and even though I have missed out in some lessons, I was able to catch up to my class mates. I am excited to our next topic!

Talofa Lava and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

Yesterday Ms collins came into Room 9 for Cybersmart.I was new to this  Cybersmart session so I had to put my thinking cap on and conecentrate at all times. So Mrs Collins explained to us all about leaving digital footprint. Whatever you do online you are leaving a digital footprint( which I am doing right now), it can be postive or negative. We were given a task which it had to do with Private Information/Personal Information. This task would help us understand the diffrences of public and private information and being aware of the things that we are posting.

Personal Information/Private Information

As you can see here I have arranged different information into these 2 grids. I know that this would help me understand what types of things that is safe for me to publish online and things that I should keep to myself.

Make sure to THINK before you PUBLISH!

Bonjour and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

Today for the first block we had cybersmart with Ms Collins. This was Rm 10's first session with Ms Collins so I was looking foward to it. As you might know last week on friday was Pink Shirt Day or Kindess Day. Our task was to come up with images and texts that means kindness and what kindness means to you.
To me kindness is all about being friendly to one another. Everyone has kindness in themselves, but they just haven’t seen it. Doing something that is so small for someone can make a huge difference.

I hope you enjoy!

IALT: Reflect about the Manaikalani Survey.

Malo e lelei and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

Today the student leaders had to take a survey. In this survey it had questions relating to how we use our digital deivice for our learning. This survey would be shared to the maniakalani, so that they can see the progress of how we use our digital devices for our learning.
The question that we had in our survey, I found them really intresting like for exmaple one of the questions that I had to really think about was how Learn, Create, Share connects with our culture. But the rest of them I found them quite simple.

Malo e lelei and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

Today was a very exciting day for the student leaders of our school. We had the opprtunity to attend to the National Young Leaders Day. This was going to be our very FIRST time going to this event so we where looking foward to it. Ms Aireen and kelly joined along( since we had to be supervised by an adult) as well.

As like in any other confrence there are guest speakers. In this event there where Dr Lehan Stemmet, Hana Tapiata, Ronnie Taulafo, Christian Gallen and Kings. The way of how they explained about there back story and how it effect there life and now where they are is so inspiring. The challeneges that they'eve been through they where able to overcome it with conversation. What I mean by this is( which ronnie made a great point), having a conversation with others can really help discover of who you are and it really depends on what type of conversations you have. You see the conversations that you would have will influence you to become who you are.

Image result for national young leaders day

One speaker that I could relate to was Hana Tapiata. She was explaing that we all have voices in our heads. And I was like yuupp I got TOOONNESS of them. But one thing that she said that really touched me was kind of like this, " The voice that you chose to listen, is the voice that will impact your life". This really gave me a second thought of what voice I have chosen to listen. Have you ever had like a NEGATIVITY voice and a POSITIVE voice? Well, if you have which one do you chose to listen to? I always tried my best to listen to that positive voice but then that Negative voice can just some how overtake, and which have caused me to think alot of bad things about myself. But after listening to Hanas amazing speech( and also the others) just gave me that motivation that I should believe more in MYSELF and listen to those postive thoughts.

Overal, l I have really enjoyed myself and I feel motivated and inspired from the words that these guest speakers have explained. Now my spirit is lifted up never before. I never knew how words can change your life!
I would also like to give a shout out and a HUGE THANK YOU to the NYLD Team for organizing this and it has been a great opportunity getting to listen to these AMAZING LEADERS!!

IALT: Define the word Region

Salve and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

I am back with another word( like what I said before in my other Todays Word is...) and will be doing the same thing giving my own opinoin of what the word means and the real defintion of the word. Today we got a few words for this week.
Which are:
- Location
- City
- Country
- Popuation
-Native
- Town

But for now I would be defining the word Region. There are 2 defintion of reigon. Which is something to do with countries and the other focusing on the body. But today I would be definng the reigon about countries since we are studing about NZ geography.

My defintion:

Region is a particular area in a country.

The internets defintion:

An area, especially part of a country or the world having definable characteristics but not always fixed boundaries.

Talofa Lava and greetings to you all! Welcome to my blog!

So yesterday Ms Aireen have bring up this idea of blog commenting on other schools blogs. When I say other schools I dont just ean in our cluster but schools around New Zealand. Now if you check out our class site( TPS Kia Manwanui- Be Big Hearted) you can see that we have joined this blog commenting site or something( I and not sure) called Tuhi mai Tuhi atu. As you can see there are 2 schools underneath it. Awahono School and Marshland School. These are our buddy classes. Each week we would be visiting there class blogs and giving them positive feedback/feedfoward on there work.

Now when we are commenting we must remember that it is helpful, thoughtful and kind. This is our 3 main points of what a quality blog comment is.
Here is my comment to Room 6, Awahono School:

✏️⏰Graphics- Drafting our clocks⏰✏️
IALT: Reflect about technology

Hallo eveybody and greetings to you ll! Welcome to my blog!

Today I willl be blogging about technology! This week for technology we were required to draft out at least 4 clocks that we will be intrested to make. For the past few weeks we talked about how clocks are different from each other, what makes them simalar, how do they work etc. Learning all about this would help us build our clocks and understand what we will be doing. For my clock I will be creating it for me and my sister. This would help us sleep early for school so that we would be more perpared to school.

My 4 Ideas are:

- Book clock
- Music clock
- Youtube clock
- Cross clock

These 4 ideas relate to me and my sister because we both are intrested in these things. But sadly out of these 4 I can only create one. So I was thinking of doing the cross or either the book because with these 2 ideas, I am most likely createing something different from the rest of them because some have the same ideas( like fortnite), and I do like being different with my ideas.

So I am not sure which one to chose, but hopefully I would make my desscion by next week because we would be modeling them in our next session. I have really enjoyed this day putting my creative thoughts on this and learning new things about clocks!

After that we where requierd to create KWL on a DLO( Digital Learning Object). KWL stands for what you know, what you want to learn( like questions about the story/text), and what you have learnt.
